FAQ
Below are some common questions about hot-rolled stainless steel coils:
Hot rolled stainless steel coils are made by rolling steel billets or ingots at high temperatures (typically between 900°C and 1200°C) through a series of rollers.
HR Black: Coils with a brownish-black oxide layer formed during processing.
HRAP (Hot Rolled Annealed and Pickled): Coils with oxide scale removed by shot blasting and pickling, resulting in a No. 1 surface finish that complies with ASTM A480/A480M.
They are commonly used in railroads, construction materials, and other applications where tight dimensional tolerances are not critical.
