How to manufacture stainless steel pipe fittings
- Step 1, Raw material cutting: stainless steel pipes (such as 304 and 316L) are selected and cut into blanks based on the required sizes.
- Step 2, Cold Drawing/Cold Rolling Forming: billets are formed into elbows, tees, and other fittings using cold drawing machines or multi-roll mills.
- Step 3, Annealing Treatment:Bright annealing is applied to relieve internal stress and restore material ductility.
- Step 4, Pickling and passivation: surface oxidation and impurities are removed to form a uniform passivation film that enhances corrosion resistance.
- Step 5, Welding (optional): split fittings are welded using argon arc welding or other techniques to ensure a sealed, high-strength connection.
- Step 6, Polishing: Internal and external surfaces are polished to 400 mesh for a smooth, high-quality finish.
