Excellent Corrosion Resistance

Stainless steel expanded metal contains at least 11% chromium, which forms a protective oxide layer to enhance corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel adds molybdenum for even greater resistance to chlorides and acidic environments, making it ideal for marine and chemical applications.

High Strength and Lightweight

Expanded metal sheets keep the strength of the original material while reducing weight through stretching and expanding. For example, a 1mm-thick stainless steel sheet can exceed 520 MPa in tensile strength while weighing only 2.4 kg/m²—about 30% lighter than a conventional flat sheet.

Integrated Structure for Enhanced Stability

Expanded metal sheets are made from a single piece of metal with no welded joints or loose parts. This avoids weak points and ensures long-term structural integrity and stability.

Good Permeability and Aesthetic Appeal

The diamond-shaped openings allow air, water, light, and sound to pass freely, making the sheets suitable for ventilation, filtration, and decorative uses. Surfaces can be brushed or mirror-polished to enhance visual appeal.
